MediaTek called the new chip MT6739 and said it was made for ‘India’s fastest growing 4G market’. Like MT 6737, the chip has a 64 bit quad-core processor built on the ARM Cortex-A53 instruction set and supports the Cat 4 LTE modem. The difference is that the operating frequency of the CPU increased from 1.35 GHz to 1.5GHz and there are dual VOLTE and dual sim dual standby (DSDS) on the network.
The launch of the MT6739 indicates a low price phone, which would like to adopt roughly minimal design on its smartphone display, which is similar to Micromax Canvas Infinity. Although the maximum resolution supported by chip is HD + (1440×720), which is a slight extension of the HD (1280×720) resolution dimension used on 16: 9 displays.
Chip has also brought support for dual camera setup, is present on some helio series and Helio P25 is the cheapest used on Lenovo’s 8 Plus. But maximum resolution support is 8 megapixels + 0.3 megapixels (VGA) sensor, which is for dual camera setup.
Helio P3 is the 2.3GHz octa core processor with the ARM Mali-G171 GP2 GPU on the other hand. This TSMC is built on the 16 nm Finet Process, which competes directly with SnapDragon 450 of Qualcomm, which uses 14 nm process. In fact, according to a report from PhoneRena, MediaTek had to reduce the price of the P23 before its release as the price of Snapdragon 450 was very low
